Qualifier

Okay, while the previous post was not meant, in any way, to be bitter-sounding, I supopse to some it did. Aside from that, I did want to qualify a statement that I made regarding the "tours" of hurricane-devastated New Orleans. Yes, that is probably a very enlightening, possibly educational , and maybe even informative trip to take. However, I qestion the motive behind it. After all, it is one thing to be a person of authority, fit and able to make changes or help out, and quite another to be a "Looky-Lou" with nothing better to do on a vacation (or other time on holiday) than to make the site of peoples' devastaion part of your "fun".

ok I understand the debate: "prompted debate over whether it is appropriate or exploitative to turn devastation into a tourist attraction." And with that I would disagree... But I still want to see... I want to see these new plans, new pics... I mean when Mt. St. Helens blew up (80's) we drove up there and saw the devistation... It was NATURE doing what nature does, and yes people died (and we had ash in California). There are memorials for 911, looking where people died through tragedy. I do UNDERSTAND the debate, and probably WOULD NOT go on the tour, but I do know I am interested in seeing what it looks like now... months after the fact... aren't you?
